Decimal Odds
The most common format. The number tells you directly — for every ৳1 staked, how much you get back in total (including your original stake). 2.25 means a ৳1 bet returns ৳2.25 in total.
Example — Team A wins
Decimal: 2.25 | Fractional: 5/4 | American: +125
On a ৳200 bet, if Team A wins, total return is ৳450 (profit ৳250 + original stake ৳200).
If they lose, the full ৳200 is gone.
Fractional Odds
An older format originating from British horse racing — 5/4 means ৳5 profit for every ৳4 staked (total return ৳9 including your stake). A larger denominator means higher probability; a smaller one indicates the favourite.
Example — Team B wins (favourite)
Decimal: 1.25 | Fractional: 1/4 | American: −400
On a ৳200 bet, if Team B wins, total return is ৳250 (profit of only ৳50).
American Odds
A plus (+) sign shows how much profit you make on a ৳100 bet. A minus (−) sign shows how much you need to stake to win ৳100. +125 means a good return; −400 means a very small return.
In both examples above, all three formats show the same value — only the way it is written differs.
